We had a good day ride through Arizona into New Mexico covering about 500 miles. All interstate riding on I-40 and we decided to stay in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. We stayed at the American Inn and all I can say is it was a fleabag hotel, dirty, falling apart and the only thing it had going for it was it was safe. Seems like most of the places on Route 66 have seen better days and this place was no exception.
