Heading north up Route 191 in the rain is interesting but not necessarily fun. 191 with all its turns and blind corners can be tiring on a dry day, add rain and it can be exhausting. The first stop after Morenci is Hannagan Meadow with accommodations and a restaurant with the same name. We decided to stop there, the gal at the front desk said “wow that road is hard enough in the dry” we agreed and got a room. Had a good stay and the following day we rode back in dry weather, finishing up our 600 mile round trip adventure and the completion of the Devil’s Highway.
